Manzanares El Real is a privileged place to work out your legs if what you want is to ride your bike, exercise, pedal with or without stopping, or simply go for a ride on two wheels.

The great diversity for our landscapes will give you the opportunity to ride flat and easy, push your whole body to climb uphill to the top of the mountain, or combine effort and rest. Whatever option you choose, the reward will always be an unparalleled natural environment.

So that we can all enjoy this sport, remember that there are many of us who practice it, and we have specific regulations we must comply with in order to take care of the nature under our wheels.

National Park and The Zetas de La Pedriza

In the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park there are countless routes for cycling, and some of them can connect you with other nearby municipalities.

The most famous and most travelled route in Manzanares El Real is Las Zetas de La Pedriza route, a circular route that takes you through hills, gorges, steppes, pine forests and bushes. Be prepared, however, because it is a very difficult route, only recommended for the brave ones who are used to pushing their legs and body to the maximum, both on the long and steep ascent and on the descent on the way back.

CiclaMadrid in Manzanares El Real

With the CiclaMadrid platform you will be able to cycle the routes that the Community of Madrid has set up in our municipality.

These routes are generally of low difficulty, and offer a wide variety of routes thanks to which you can discover some of the nearby villages with your bicycle, and cycle along the main livestock trails and paths that pass through Manzanares El Real, as well as through our pastures and low mountains. There is something for everyone: if you want to go the extra mile, you can climb up the mountain, but if you prefer to ride your bike, then just stay on the lower trails.

In addition, CiclaMadrid has provided a repair tool kit to all the municipalities along the routes it covers, and in Manzanares El Real we have ours available at the Tourist Office for any of you who may need it.

The kit includes:

1 BETO workshop pump to inflate the tyres.
Presta valve inner tubes in 5 different diameters (26”, 27’5”, 29” and 700X18 and 700X35), in case yours breaks.
1 bottle of Motorex spray lubricant, to lubricate the chain.
4 types of chain quick links (IBN 7-8, 9, 10, 11) depending on the number of sprockets on the bike.
1 Ventura Bike-Outdoor toolbox with everything you need (no less than 37 pieces) to repair and maintain bicycles: different types of Allen spanners, removable spanners, screwdrivers and other more specific tools, such as crank extractors, chainbreakers or chain wrench.
