On our third circular route, lasting about 1 hour and 20 minutes, you can enjoy the heart of our town, the Castle of the Mendoza family, the Cordel de los Toros livestock trail, and the Molino del Cura (the Priest’s Mill). You will then enter the natural surroundings, following the Manzanares River and its green banks as you climb toward the Hermitage of Our Lady of Peña Sacra.
This spot holds great historical and cultural significance for our traditions, and offers stunning views of the town, La Pedriza, and the reservoir. You can return to the village by descending along Avenida de La Pedriza, now paved to make the walk easier on tired legs.
If you’re still eager to see more greenery, before heading back to the center we encourage you to continue from El Tranco up to Canto Cochino — the gateway to the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park and our beloved Pedriza.
