Route 2. Path to the Santillana Reservoir

Following this route, you’ll pass through the historic center on a short and easy walk that will take you to the Santillana Reservoir in just 35 minutes, along Calle de la Paz until you reach the reservoir viewpoint.

This urban route passes by the Castle of the Mendoza family, the Town Square, the Old Bridge, the Old Castle, and continues to the tail of the Santillana Reservoir.

For the more curious walkers, the route can be extended with a natural trail that leads, after about 5 km, to the dam of the Santillana Reservoir, from where you can admire the old dam, the reservoir tower, and the Santillana Reservoir Memorial Monument.
