Interpretation Center of the Old Castle

The Old Castle is one of the jewels of Manzanares El Real for its historical significance — the beginning of the town’s golden age as El Real del Manzanares — and it continues to be the subject of archaeological research in recent years.

Thanks to the Tourism Sustainability Plan, work is now underway on an Interpretation Center. This new museum space, powered by solar energy, will highlight the value of the Old Castle through ethnological pieces from the history of Manzanares El Real, exhibits from the castle itself, and findings from the Excavation Notebook.
